"THE LIFE AND DEATH OF PIZZA MOUNTAIN.. Pizza Mountain has a long history dating back to the mid 2040's. The people of New York loved their pizza, but wouldn't eat anything that wasn't fresh.. so day old pizza began to mound up all over the city. Not only rats but pigeons began living off it, and you know how badly pigeons and pizza mix! The city's newly installed vacuum garbage system, that sucked waste from all over to a small island nearby, was used to clean the streets of wasted pizza. Slowly a island mountain of pizza was born!
As time passed the island grew larger and higher and then slowly compressing with the overwhelming weight of all that pizza. Even more exciting was the burbling and farting the island experienced as the tomatoes, crust and other ingredients were "digested" in the island's belly. Testing was done, and after a while people realized that pizza was a true sustainable energy source, and began building plants to mine the resources and capture all the gas emitted by the island. With plants in place, folk began to move there to benefit from low costs. A large community of pizza island residents was established.
Unfortunately, tastes and styles change, and after a while pizza was made with plastic pasta crust and other ingredients, and became less and less popular. The Pizza Island community slowly began to die.
This film was made by explorers from another world who are investigating lost worlds and life forms on planet earth. Based in Gumbo World, they happened to capture the story of one of the last families to leave pizza island. In addition they took samples of the male and female pizza gases still wafting around The people are gone, the pigeons are gone, and the island is now a ghostly wasteland."
