"I was born in Cuba, moved to Miami with my parents in 2001, where I studied until I was 18. After graduating High school at Design & Architectural Sr.High, I moved to Sarasota in 2016 to begin my career as an Animator. I had been a student at Ringling College of Art + Design for four years working on different animation techniques and figuring out my goal post graduation. In May 2020, along with Nicole Tan, we completed our 3D animated Short Film “Bacterium Delirium” as a thesis project. We graduated and I decided that I would continue to make animations with a focus on Storyboarding, Character design, and 3D Animation."

"I grew up in sunny Singapore, a multi-racial country known as the little red dot. Being exposed to many different cultures kindled my curiosity as an artist to learn more about things I didn’t understand. My sisters and I were couch potatoes and loved staying up till the wee hours of the morning hanging out and watching reruns of cartoons. Eventually the combination of these two events lead me to develop a passion for creating imaginary worlds and cartoons of my own. When the time came, I applied to Ringling from across the seas and the rest was history. Fortunately enough I was able to attend Ringling on a Dean’s scholarship and created Bacterium Delirium with Fransis Chicote that made it into the Best of Ringling. After graduation, I would hope to work as a 3D Modeler at an animation studio."
Director Statements:
Fransis Chicote: "My personal mission is to create new worlds and environments that will help people learn something new, or relate to someone else’s feelings although there are cultural differences or language barriers."
Nicole Tan: "Being a giver by nature, I like making people smile and hope to spread happiness to those who view my work. I hope the imaginary worlds I create bring the audience on an adventure where they can explore to their hearts content."

MIACRO is an abstract animated tour across scientific concepts from the minute to the massive. MIACRO serves as a tribute to the natural world and its study. While not the first project to highlight the scale of the universe, it takes a more artistic, dynamic, and playful approach...
